Personal Reference:
I was fortunate enough to have had the chance to work very closely with Ashly Fusiarski during the months of April-September 2007.
Ashly was recommended to us and had planned to attend our raft guide course in May 2007. Ashly chose to join us prior to the guide course and spend his time training and assisting us with our daily activities in which I found him very capable and competent. His willingness to work proved very useful and helped us through some tough times where we were lacking instructors.
As the season progressed and we completed our guide school Ashly had shown that he was not only able to assist with activities but was able to lead those that involved climbing. His patience and knowledge of ropes and climbing techniques is very useful to our guide team. Ashly showed an enormous amount of dedication and determination towards his efforts to work as a raft guide. He managed to build on his existing water skills and has developed into a guide who is confident on class 4 water and he has a good sense of the river and his role as a guide and will continue to excel as a guide.
Ashly is a very easygoing person who seems to get along with almost everyone. He works well with others no matter what the situation. Working in a foreign country is often difficult with many different cultures and languages. He adapted his teaching and communication methods very quickly and was successful as a leader at our center.
I certainly hope to have the opportunity to work with him again as he was an important and integral part of our guide team.
